If you already manage your research papers in Zotero, great newsâJenni now supports direct Zotero imports. This makes it easy to bring your entire collection (including PDFs) into Jenni without needing to upload each source manually.

Why Import From Zotero?
No more double uploading. You can now:
Easily sync your Zotero collections with Jenni
Use your existing sources in AI Chat, citations, and autocomplete
Leverage your full research library instantly
How to Import From Zotero
Go to your Jenni Library
Click the Upload button in the top left of the dashboard
Select Import from Zotero
A new browser tab will open â log into your Zotero account
When prompted, click âConnect accountâ to authorize Jenni
Accept the default permissions
Choose which collections you'd like to import
Thatâs it! You can close the window while Jenni works in the background
Pro Tip: If your Zotero sources already have PDFs attached, those files will automatically be imported into Jenni too.
Note: Only papers that are saved in a collection on Zotero will appear. Items not added to a collection will not be available for import.
What Gets Imported?
All metadata (title, author, journal, etc.)
Attached PDFs (if available in Zotero)
Source files are added directly into your Jenni Library

You can:
Use these sources for Auto-cite or Manual Cite in the editor
Get writing suggestions grounded in the papers youâve uploaded
Interrogate your sources using AI Chat for summaries, critiques, and more
How Jenni Uses These Sources
Once your Zotero sources are in Jenni:
The PDFs will be available for AI Chat so you can ask deep questions and draw out insights
The metadata will help power more relevant and accurate citation suggestions
The writing assistant will reference this material when making language and clarity enhancements
