If you already manage your research library in Mendeley, Jenni now makes it easy to import your papers — no more downloading and re-uploading one by one. This integration helps you bring your research workflow into one place.

How to Import from Mendeley
Go to your Jenni Library
Click the Upload button in the top left of the Jenni dashboard
Select Import from Mendeley
A new browser tab will open — log into your Mendeley account
When prompted, click “Connect account” to authorize Jenni
Choose which collections you’d like to import
You’re all set! Jenni will begin importing in the background. You can close the tab while this happens.
Pro Tip: If your Mendeley sources already have PDFs attached, those files will automatically be imported into Jenni too.
Note: Only papers that are saved in a collection on Mendeley will appear. Items not added to a collection will not be available for import.
What Gets Imported?
All metadata (title, author, journal, etc.)
Attached PDFs (if available in Mendeley)
Source files are added directly into your Jenni Library

How Jenni Uses These Sources
Once your Mendeley sources are in Jenni:
The PDFs will be available for AI Chat so you can ask deep questions and draw out insights
The metadata will help power more relevant and accurate citation suggestions
The writing assistant will reference this material when making language and clarity enhancements
