Import Your Existing Drafts

Working on a draft in Microsoft Word? Easily bring your writing into the Jenni workspace.

To import an existing draft from Microsoft Word (docx. file), please follow the steps below:

  1. Click New Document on the left side panel

  2. The document prompt page will pop up. Please close this page to reveal the empty text editor.

  3. From there, click Import from docx. file and select the desired Word document from your computer files to import into Jenni

  4. There you have it! Your draft should be imported in and now Jenni can analyze your draft and generate you suggestions anywhere throughout your paper.

Copy & Paste Method

If your draft is not on a Microsoft Word document (docx.), the Copy and Paste method could also help you import into Jenni instead.

If you're on Windows:

  1. Open your Word doc or Google Doc

  2. Press Ctrl + A to select all text

  3. Press Ctrl + C to copy

  4. Go to your Jenni document

  5. Press Ctrl + V to paste

If you're on Mac:

  1. Open your Word doc or Google Doc

  2. Press Cmd + A to select all text

  3. Press Cmd + C to copy

  4. Go to your Jenni document

  5. Press Cmd + V to paste
