Opening a PDF
Click any source in your library that has an attached PDF. The reader opens in a panel alongside your document.
Use the reader toolbar to move between pages, change the zoom level, or open page thumbnails. Select text in the PDF to copy it with a citation or quote it in Chat.
Searching Within a PDF
Open Search
Press Ctrl + F on Windows and Linux, or Cmd + F on Mac, while the PDF reader is focused. A search bar appears in the toolbar.
Find Matches
Type your search text. Matches are highlighted in the PDF as you type, and a counter displays “X of Y” to show how many results were found and which one is currently active.
Navigate Between Matches
- Next match: press
Enteror click the forward arrow in the toolbar - Previous match: press
Shift + Enteror click the backward arrow - Matches are ordered by page number, then by position on the page
Close Search
Press Escape or click the X button in the search bar. All highlights are cleared.
Search Behavior
- Case-insensitive by default
- Exact text matching only. Wildcards and regular expressions are not supported.
- Results are ordered by page, then by vertical and horizontal position
- Matching begins as you type, updating the highlight and counter with each keystroke

Troubleshooting
