Jenni works on mobile browsers with an interface adapted for touch input and smaller screens. Core writing and research features are available on mobile. Subscription cancellation requires a desktop browser.

Mobile-Optimized Editing

The editor layout adjusts for mobile viewports. Toolbars, menus, and panels are repositioned to stay accessible while maximizing the writing area.

Floating Toolbar

A toolbar is pinned to the bottom of the screen and remains visible even when the keyboard is open.

When too many buttons are present for the screen width, overflow items collapse into a More button (three dots) that opens a bottom drawer with the remaining actions.

Bottom-Sheet Drawers

Panels that appear as sidebars on desktop (Chat, Reviews, Comments, and Settings) open as bottom-sheet drawers on mobile. They slide up from the bottom of the screen and can be dismissed by swiping down.

The sidebar opens as a full-screen overlay on mobile. Tap any document to open it, and the sidebar closes automatically.

Insert and Formatting

Tap the + button in the floating toolbar to open the insert drawer. Available block types include:

To convert an existing block, select it and tap Turn Into in the toolbar to change its type.

The slash command menu (/) also works on mobile and opens as a drawer instead of an inline dropdown.

Citation Filters During Document Setup

When creating a document, the mobile setup keeps publication recency and Include preprints visible. Tap Advanced filters to reveal impact factor and minimum citation count. Desktop shows all four citation filters directly.

AI Editing on Mobile

  1. Select the text you want to edit.
  2. Tap AI Edit in the floating toolbar.
  3. A bottom sheet opens with a text input field.
  4. Type your editing instruction.
  5. Review the proposed changes.
  6. Accept or reject the edit.

Image Actions

On mobile, image controls are accessed through a three-dot menu that replaces the hover actions available on desktop. Tap the menu to access alignment, captioning, AI analysis, and deletion options.

Desktop-Only Account Actions

You cannot cancel a subscription from a mobile browser. To cancel, open Jenni in a desktop browser, go to Settings > Billing, and under Danger zone click Cancel beside Cancel plan. See Plans and Billing for what happens after cancellation.
